At ICS Builders, Inc. (ICS) we believe that a sustainable business is dependent on a healthy natural environment. As an organization we are committed to sustainable business practices that meet the needs of the present without compromising the welfare of future generations. As an organization we have pledged to move toward a more sustainable office environment while maintaining practicality and productivity.

GREEN BUILDING

ICS Builders, Inc. is committed to furthering sustainable construction practices. ICS views this as an integral part of our corporate culture. ICS employs a knowledge team of LEED Accredited Professionals and trained support staff to review projects for sustainable opportunities during pre-construction and to develop or implement comprehensive ‘Sustainability’ plans during the construction phase. Our approach includes:

• Review of projects during pre-construction phase by a LEED AP.
• Inclusion of sustainability requirements in sub-contractor RFP’s.
• Review of sub-contractor sustainability practices and experience with ‘Green Project’.
• Development of IAQ Plans for demolition and construction.
• Development of Construction Waste Management Plans.
• Development of focused procurements efforts to maximize purchasing of Low VOC materials and adhesives, high recycled content materials and certified wood products.
• Training of field staff on environmental requirements.

ICS Builders, Inc. has successfully completed numerous LEED Certified projects, most notable the Natural Resource Defense Council (NRDC) 8th Floor Interiors Renovation project which was awarded LEED Platinum Certification and remains the highest point earning commercial interiors project constructed to date.
